The Universe had plans
When you and I were aligned…
For this temporary fix
Has held me captive, to the
Complexities of your design…
Living in the dark for so long
I was accustomed to the night–
It was only natural for me
To gravitate towards your light…
We share the same love for the sky;
I was in awe of your knowledge of the stars–
Hoping one night you’d make your way to me
And sun-kiss my scars…
On a bed of galaxies I became
Slave to your heat–
The Earth shook & tides would rise and fall that night,
Whenever our surfaces would meet…
Now all I can do is wait
For “us” to again, exist–
And feel the warmth of your rays
As we form an eclipse…
